File Manager - Marking Files and Directories




Overview of Marking Files and Directories

While working in the File Manager, you will need to mark and unmark files and directories. WebCT makes marking and unmarking files and directories easy.

Marking Files | Top

Files can be marked in two ways:

  1. By their file types. More information on file types can be found by referring to File Manager - File Operations: File Types.
  2. Manually. To mark a file manually, click on the check box to the left of the filename. In the example below, only the first two out of three files are marked.

Marking Directories | Top

At any given time, bolded and italicized text indicates your current working directory. You can only have one current working directory. When you first enter the File Manager tool, your current working directory will be [COURSE FILES]. To select a new directory, click on the hyperlinked directory name. The directory that you have just clicked on will now be bolded and italicized indicating that it is the current working directory.
